Hi there!
Last day of April, decided to do a midweek post. This month was a really eventful one with most of the recipes needing physical energy especially the Banga of life and Frejon . The mango smoothie and herbed meatballs recipes were not so physically demanding either ways I enjoyed them all.
Join me next month as we will be looking at different ways to season meat, delicious marinades and spices. Meat seasoning can give headaches especially when using in a stew or on it’s own and you need it to be tasty and well seasoned. Next month will feature tasty wicked meats 🙂 don’t miss it!
Tomorrow is May 1st, a public holiday for Nigerian workers and I know most of us can’t wait. It’s a day to rest from all the toils of Easter break lol! Nigerians, we just can’t get enough of holidays can we? Anyway, after all the toils of the first quarter of this year, I need you to relax tomorrow with a mug of this in your hand. Not too sweet, sinfully creamy and perfect with chocolate cookies 😀 , I’m a sweet tooth yeah!
Here’s what I need you to do for me on your way home today, pick up:
1 litre pack of Hollandia milk
1 pack of white chocolate
Some cinnamon either powder or stick depending on what’s available in your area.
1 pack double chocolate maryland cookies
Brown sugar to taste *optional
Method :
In a small pot, pour 1 1/2 cups of whole milk, 4-6 cubes of white chocolate, 1 cinnamon stick and sugar if using.
Once it gets hot, let it boil for 3 minutes stirring it the whole time so the chocolate dissolves properly. Remove the cinnamon stick (you can sprinkle the cinnamon powder at this point if that’s what’s available or if you simply want richer cinnamon flavour)
Stir well, pour into a latte mug, put your feet up, sit back with some cookies, watch a good movie….relax 🙂 .
Azu 🙂 .
*Points to note : I didn’t add sugar, I mean, white chocolate is sin enough! I did add extra cinnamon powder though, can’t get enough of it!
